| Tribute to Digran Tomanian at the 13th Iran Cinema Celebration |
Digran Tomanian will be honored at the 13th Iran Cinema Celebration. According to House of Cinema’s Public Relations, House of Cinema’s lifetime achievement statuette will be presented to Digran Tomanian, one of the film lab pioneers of the Iranian cinema, at the 13th Iran Cinema Celebration.
Tomanian was born in Isfahan in 1946 and started his professional career by taking a film lab training course at the Academy of Radio and Television in 1969. During the following years, he gained experience and skill in all areas of lab techniques including negative cut, lighting, trucage, sensitometry and etalonnage.
The artistic achievements of Digran Tomanian in the areas of negative cut and film credits include Warriors of Tangestan, My Uncle Napoleon, Samak Ayyar, Hami & Kami, Rain of Blood, The Immigrant, Eagles, The Train, The Passage, Chrysanthemum, Squadron of Love, From Karkheh to Rhein, Fire in the harvest, Seven Stones, Leily is with me, The Star and the Diamond, Apartment No. 13, A house built on water, The Familiar Soil, Wedding Dinner, Café Star, M for Mother, Mina of the Silent City, The Outcasts, The Doll without a Shadow, The Boss, Birthplace, When we are all asleep, Doubt and 7:30.
